I always like walking around Providence at night and there are definitely some spots where you can get an amazing view of the city. I was on my way to The Coffee Exchange on Wickenden Street and when I went over the bridge I saw the great view of the skyline over the water so I went back and take some pictures. Above is the best one of the bunch. I only had my 24mm with me and I feel like a zoomed in view would have been more appropriate. A tripod might have helped too. Oh well.
One thing I’ve learned from doing landscape photography is always consider your surroundings, not just what’s right in front of you. Sometimes what’s behind you is equally or even more interesting. Here’s a picture of the bridge I was taking pictures from. Again, no tripod so I rested my camera on the sidewalk to do a longer exposure.
